Amara Chirim Brand launches a campaign for Rape and Harrassment victims tagged #ISaidNo

The Amara Chirim Brand has launched a campaign against Rape and harrassment for both genders on the basis of anonymity.

This campaign is set to reach out to rape victims who are scared to speak up due to societal stigmatization. They have created an avenue where these victims will write a mail without their picture and send to the Brand's mail; amarachirim@gmail.com.

This will help a lot of people get things off their chest as the world currently dosen't want to listen to the male gender and few are paying attention to the female gender. Most people are scared to speak so as not to be tagged a liar, that is what this campaign aims to resolve.

Speak your truth, send that mail and it'll be published for the world to see(without your email of course). Male or female are advised to write, because men get raped too and it should be treated with the same energy as the female cases. You said No! Own it!

Breaking! 44 Suspected Boko Haram members found dead in Chadian prison

44 suspected members of Boko Haram were found dead in a prison in Chad's capital city of N'Djamena on Saturday April 18. Autopsies conducted on the late suspected terrorists revealed that they ingested a substance which caused heart and breathing complications, according to the Chadian government. Chad's chief prosecutor Yousssouf Tom who confirmed the death on national television, said the suspects were arrested during a recent operation against Boko Haram carried out near Lake Chad. Tom said; “Following the fighting around Lake Chad, 58 members of Boko Haram had been taken prisoner and sent to Ndjamena for the purposes of the investigation. “On Thursday morning, their jailers told us that 44 prisoners had been found dead in their cell. “We have buried 40 bodies and sent four bodies to the medical examiner for autopsy.” A security source speaking on condition of anonymity countered the chadian government'...

Ekiti State Chief Justice frees 33 inmates

Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, has set free 33 inmates of the Nigeria Correctional Centre, Ado Ekiti. The beneficiaries comprised 18 awaiting trial inmates, 13 convicts and two others who were granted bail. Daramola said his visit to the correctional centre was in line with the directive of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, to decongest the correctional centres across the country and reduce the spread of the ravaging COVID-19. A statement from the Chief Registrar of Ekiti State Judiciary, Mr Johnson Apuabi, stated, “The 13 convicts were granted amnesty based on old age. Others were pardoned based on the fact that their jail terms were near completion. “In all, 334 cases were reviewed; 18 were pardoned based on lesser offences committed ranging from burglary to stealing and theft, while two were granted bail on liberal terms.”
